Virginia State Police is offering up to $10,000 Hiring Bonus*, in addition to providing new Troopers competitive pay and a generous benefits package, to include insurance, time off, retirement, and savings options. Individuals willing to accept assignment in high-vacancy areas or are willing to be assigned anywhere within the state are eligible for an additional $5,000 bonus.
*Upon graduation from our Academy and the successful completion of the Field Training Officer (FTO) phase, you will be eligible to receive a $5,000 Hiring Bonus. Click here to contact a Recruiter for more information.

- Less than 120 (10 years):Â 32 hours (4 days) of leave
- 120 or more (Over 10 years):Â 40 hours (5 days) of leave

- Less than 60 (5 years):Â 64 hours (8 days) of sick leave
- 60 to 119 (5- 10 years):Â 72 hours (9 days)Â of sick leave
- 120 or more (over 10):Â 80 hours (10 days) of sick leave
