Benefits
Virginia State Police is offering a $5,000 hiring bonus, in addition to competitive pay and a generous benefits package, to include insurance, time off, retirement, and savings options. Hands-On Experience:
Candidates work as full-time employees in various tracks across the Department, earning $35,000 annually plus benefits.
Career Pathway:
This program bridges the gap for young adults until they meet the age requirement (21) to enter the Trooper Academy.
Reserved Space in the Academy:
Candidates that successfully complete the program will have a place at the Academy saved for you.
Educational Incentive:
As an added benefit, this program will provide you with an associate’s degree in the Administration of Justice by the time you graduate Trooper Basic School.
